Wow. I stand up, feeling slightly perturbed by the MetaReader results. I move to the bookcase and begin skimming along the shelves, taking a mental tally. The Road, 1984, The Catcher in the Rye, The Great Gatsby (only 200 pages, I don’t count it), Catch-22, Freakonomics, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Hunger Games (it counts), A Very Short Introuction to Philosophy (ha!), plenty of books I’ve not gotten around to, some mostly there for show…

I move to the wardrobe and begin digging out the books that don’t warrant display. Old paperback crime novels, the Harry Potter’s, some Stephen King…

I think back to assorted children’s books, school book reports, university course reading lists.

Well, about… a generous 48? Hmmm.

I move back to my monitor, scrolling down.
